Velocity Values Contest Drive for Impact winner

Meet Our Values Contest Winners

We are excited to spotlight some of the winners of our first Velocity Global Values Contest. Last year, employees around the world collaborated to develop company values they believe in. To celebrate those values and what they mean to our employees, we held a company-wide contest to bring each value to life creatively. From crafting to cooking, the winning entries have us inspired to live the values every day!

Do the Right Thing

Name and role: Margaret Liljedahl, Senior Manager, Operations Learning & Development team
Location: U.S.
Description of the submission: “‘Do the Right Thing’ is my favorite company value because it’s so universal—a value that’s deeply important to me in every aspect of life, even outside of work. This is the value that underpins and drives all of the others forward. I thought it would be fun to knit a really simple beanie in our corporate colors so that I can spread the message of ‘Do the Right Thing’ out in public!”

Here, our team shows that dancing together to achieve something new can be fun and effective and make us all superstars.”

Participants from GTA: Martin Perez, Cynthia Talla, Tien Ngo, Ken Leist, Ryan Temple, May Poon, Vanessa Manele, Neeta Maliakal, Lora Snyder, Brittany Knowlden, Daniela Sandoval, Vince Connolly, and Akshatha Naidu.

Lead With Curiosity

Name and role: UX Design & Research teams, Product team
Location: All over the U.S.
Description of the submission: “The UX Design and UX Research teams came together to ‘Lead With Curiosity’ by making a stone-soup-style jello salad! Each team member anonymously suggested an ingredient (without knowing what others suggested) and then brought it into a curious recipe. Our ingredients were, in no particular order, lime-flavored gelatin, Swedish Fish, strawberries, coffee, kiwi, crushed pineapple, gummy worms, hard-boiled eggs, and an element of art! Every team member prepared the recipe super creatively and took at least one bite. Please enjoy our fun and wacky Curiosity Jello Salad. The recipe is included at the end of the video!”

Connect With Empathy

Name and role: Maria Angel Dominguez, HRx Specialist, Operations team
Location: Spain
Description of the submission: “The Velocity Global game card symbolizes more than just a single value; it embodies all five of our core values. The game is structured into five distinct rounds, each designed to reflect a different value.
