Senior Product UX Designer

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sr. Product Designer to join our growing Design Team. This is a full-time, remote-first position. At its core, this position is focused on delivering best-in-class Product Design by taking business, product, tech, and regulatory requirements and synthesizing them into effective, easy to use, and beautiful experiences in a fast paced environment. You will work closely with partners in Product and Engineering in create software products with a direct impact on the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create effective design solutions for features that meet product, business, technical, and user goals.
- Clearly present and articulate design rationale to the Design team and cross -functional team members.
- Create development ready taskflows, wire frames, visual designs, and relevant interaction specifications. Work with the Engineering and QA teams to ensure a high fidelity of execution in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with Product Managers on requirements documentation. Provide insight on Design and customer experience concerns at early stages of problem definition.
- Collaborate with fellow Design team members to develop and evolve an atomic UX style guide and component library to reflect design best practices and corporate branding.
- Collaborate with User Researchers on efforts to learn more about user pain points and product usability, including collaborating on research goals and scripts, preparing prototypes, observing usability tests, and incorporating insights into final designs
- Uphold a high standard of design solutions, providing simple, easy -to -use, scalable, and elegant solutions.
- Evangelize and facilitate design thinking amongst collaborating groups.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience in Product UX Design with direct experience working with Product and Engineering teams.
- You’re a self-starter and love making meaningful impact quickly. There’s lots to do, and you’re always looking for ways to help move the company forward and help your colleagues.
- You enjoy collaboration. You’re proactive in collaborating, voicing ideas, and concerns, with stakeholders, cross -functional peers, and Design team members.
- You can clearly communicate and present the rationale for your designs.
- You have experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform and inspire design.
- You understand complex Products and are able to simplify them into easy to use elegant Design solutions. Much like fintech or biomedical software, our product has multiple user roles, related workflows, and compliance requirements. Our designs are the first impression a user has of the new job, and the ability to simplify the experience is key to providing them with a positive experience on behalf of our Business Customers.
- You have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices and rapid ideation processes like Lean UX, Design Sprints, and Agile .
- You enjoy designing and launching beautiful software solutions. It bothers you when things don’t look good or function well.
- Strong advocate for the end user. You enjoy learning more about users and value their feedback. You’re always thinking about ways to improve the overall experience.
- Proficiency with Figma
- Ability to work effectively remotely as we are a distributed team and a remote -first company.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in UX, HCI, or a related field
- Portfolio of relevant work, including Desktop and mobile Web (or app) examples
- Prior experience with UX motion design is a plus
- Proficiency in Systems Design is a plus
- Knowledge of international cultures where our Product is available a is a plus
