Senior Compensation Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our People Rewards team. The Senior Compensation Analyst will help define and drive our global compensation strategies to attract, reward, and retain our highly talented team. They will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, HRBP, and members of the executive team to understand our compensation needs and challenges. They will identify opportunities and create proposals to strengthen our compensation program based on Velocity Global’s business goals, values, culture, and team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and market price positions at all levels of the organization utilizing external market data and internal position comparisons to make salary structure and pay grade recommendations. Consult with other members of the Compensation Team as needed.

  • Design and prepare reports to support various compensation analyses

  • Communicate and administer compensation policy and procedures and provide ongoing support to management and employees through compensation education to ensure a thorough understanding of pay programs.

  • Maintain the job leveling framework through the job evaluation process, ensuring that positions are evaluated against the established set of criteria and are leveled consistently across the organization, and partner on the warehousing of job descriptions

  • Contribute to compensation projects as assigned, including research, development, and implementation of changes to compensation programs, policies, practices, or procedures.

  • By the end of year one, you will have been instrumental in refining and implementing compensation programs in our various global markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Executive Compensation

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 8+ years of relevant Compensation experience

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred

  • Experience with salary survey participation, including data audits, validation, benchmarking and recommending additional compensation data sources (Radford, Mercer, Pay scale) 

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., working knowledge or ability to learn: vlookups, nested functions, pivot tables, charts/graphs, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large amounts of information, discern patterns, compare results to legislation, past practice, compliance with policy, and internal equity, and make appropriate recommendations

  • HR/Compensation experience sufficient to frame and ask the "right questions" as part of the discovery and leadership process

  • Ability or experience in providing training or conducting conversations that impart compensation knowledge

  • Ability to build relationships by demonstrating a record of timeliness, trust, and integrity

  • A passion for analytics and problem solving

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, conduct research, formulate conclusions, and present conclusions or solutions to business issues
