Sales Director

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our growing new business Sales team. This Is a remote position. This is a strategic, leadership role that offers the right candidate the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and build and manage a high performing, top-notch sales team. This role calls for someone who is truly ‘high velocity’ where wearing multiple hats is key to success. It’s well-suited for the particularly ambitious person who loves navigating client challenges and is attracted to or experienced in working at a startup. The right candidate has a relentless zeal to contribute and should have a passion for all things international. This individual will report to the VP of New Business Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This person will need experience in leveraging multiple tools to manage their team in an outbound motion. Use of these tools will be highly valued in a candidate. Gong, Aviso, outreach, 6 sense, and account based marketing 

  • Provide coaching and support to drive results on a daily basis, working closely with the team to identify and support individual and team training needs

  • Deliver and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual target revenues in line with growth goals for the team

  • Drive and develop intimate relationships with key management with a foundation of trust and loyalty

  • Use weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth

  • Continuously train the sales team on the Velocity Global value proposition and key service offerings

  • Partner with the sales team in calls, meetings, presentations etc.

  • Manage overall sales process with new prospective clients, with an emphasis on VELOCITY

  • Manage the teams’ territory’s activity, development, and repeat sales

  • Manage sales transactions and daily activities with a focus on continually refine processes

  • Quickly develop and maintain competency in the area of international employment

  • Assessment of team performance against goals, consistently looking to improve

  • Implement and execute a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence, continually refining with market growth and changes

  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the VP of Sales

  • Identify emerging competition and market shifts

  • Meet and increase lead status conversions

  • Effectively manage and hold the sales team accountable to all systems, processes and technologies

 

Qualifications/Skills 

  • 3 years of experience managing a sales team, preferably with a focus on net new business

  • 7+ years of sales experience within the software industry  

  • Experience and ability to recognize market trends or inefficiencies in the professional services market

  • Prior experience scaling a sales team and recruiting top talent

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and follow-through skills

  • Persistent, disciplined and motivated attitude

  • Responsive, available and dedicated to going the second mile for your team

  • Leadership mentality, lead with actions and a mentality of confident humility

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Drive, strong work ethic and a passion for creating unparalleled customer experiences

  • Passion for international business and contributing at a consistently high level
