After the Application Process

Once the O Visa is approved, it’s valid for up to 90 days or three months. The family member or spouse can apply for an extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau in Thailand and may be granted an extension of up to one year from the date of first entry into the country.

In addition, citizens from certain countries, including China and the Middle East, are required to apply for an O Visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home country.
