Our Leadership Team

Ben Wright
Ben Wright leads strategy and growth of Velocity Global and its hundreds of global team members. He applies two decades of experience supporting companies’ global business and remote teams. Wright founded Velocity Global in 2014 as a revolutionary way for companies to expand and hire across global markets. He is a recognized expert on the future of work and global expansion strategies. Wright was a national finalist for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.

Greg Brauner
Greg leads the company’s Marketing team. Greg is a 15-year veteran holding revenue leadership roles at successful SaaS and digital platforms including LinkedIn, Twilio, Emotive, Realtor.com, and Udacity. Greg is also an advisor to various technology and startup companies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Transylvania University and was a member of the men’s soccer team. He also holds an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. Greg enjoys exploring the Hill Country of Texas with his wife and two kids.

Wade Burgess
Wade leads the company’s Sales organization. He applies more than two decades of experience leading revenue growth for digital and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, including as CEO of Shiftgig, a mobile platform that connects businesses with reliable, high-quality workers on demand. He also spent a decade at LinkedIn, including as the global leader of LinkedIn Talent Solutions, a multi-billion dollar line of business. Wade credits his wife and three sons for fantastic support as they moved from Omaha to London to Chicago and now Austin, where they currently reside. As a former Division I wrestler, he and his sons are actively involved in the sport and the positive impact it can have on youth.

Brad Collins
Brad leads global strategy and corporate development at Velocity Global, and is responsible for aligning all areas of the organization with the achievement of strategic objectives. In addition, Brad leads the company’s business intelligence team, which centralizes the company’s data and provides enterprise level tools to enable strategic decision making. Before joining Velocity Global, Brad worked in investment banking and M&A transaction advisory for nearly 10 years. Brad has an MBA and bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and enjoys cycling around Colorado and spending time with his family.

Sarah Fern
Sarah leads the People strategy and agenda at Velocity Global. Based in the United Kingdom, she applies two decades of experience to drive employee engagement and career development for the company’s global team. Sarah joins Velocity Global from Saba Software (now part of Cornerstone OnDemand) where she led Human Resources through several major acquisitions, business integrations, and transformations into a public company. During her time there, Sarah was a client of Velocity Global. Sarah holds a MA in European Business, Culture and Languages from Oxford Brookes University, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management with the CIPD. Most recently she earned a Certificate in Executive Coaching with Henley Business School. Sarah offers her time to a number of global organizations through mentorship and allyship. She loves spending time with her husband and two sons and enjoys nature and hiking.

Liz Li
Liz leads Velocity Global’s product and design organization where she is responsible for defining the company’s product vision and roadmap in close collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer and their team. In her role, Liz applies in-depth experience of connecting talent with opportunity from her nearly 12 years at LinkedIn, where she led and worked on a number of core initiatives focusing on monetization, growth, and the consumer experience. During that time, she led the launch of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, now a billion-dollar business and owned acquisition and retention for LinkedIn Premium Subscriptions, significantly growing that business. Liz holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and dog.

Dave Martelon
Dave leads Velocity Global’s technology team to deliver strategies and initiatives that support the company’s employees, clients, and their global teams. He has elevated the discipline and craft of technology and product teams for more than 20 years. Dave likens his mission-to-metrics approach as creating environments that combine elements of NASA and Pixar—engineering excellence blended with the pinnacle of creativity and collaborative energy. He prides himself on building teams that are held accountable to bold results through a foundation of humility and kindness. Prior to joining Velocity Global, he served as CTO for Active Oversight and Zen Planner, and served in leadership roles for Dice and ESM, ushering in digital transformation in the industries of Fitness, Job Boards, and Higher Education. Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University, where his research focused on computer graphics algorithms.

Eric Schroeder
Eric Schroeder leads operations for Velocity Global including the customer experience and delivery team, global payroll and benefits, and worldwide operations with employees in more than 25 countries. He applies two decades of operations leadership including as head of global safety operations for Uber. He is a proud Army veteran where he served in Special Forces and completed two combat deployments to Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina, both in History. He also earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is passionate about the mountains, including skiing, mountain biking, and running.

Greg Thiessen
Greg is responsible for all aspects of the company's global finance function, including accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning and analysis. In addition, Greg also oversees all human resource activities at the company. Throughout his career working for several international public companies, Greg developed deep experience in international expansion, and was able to apply this experience to Velocity Global and the company's own international expansion. Greg holds an active CPA license, and has a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration and a Master's in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Kansas.

Mike Wilcox
Mike advises the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on matters relating to strategy, growth, and capital markets. He leads Velocity Global's transformation initiatives and optimizes key performance indicators across the organization. Mike leverages over 20 years of capital markets experience during which he directly managed public equity investments across Global Consumer Technology and FinTech sectors. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.

Shawn McIntire
Shawn oversees all aspects of the company's legal affairs. Prior to joining Velocity Global, Shawn worked at a large national law firm representing high growth companies. He loves the entrepreneurial spirit and continues to serve on the board of several of his former clients. He was named as a Colorado Super Lawyer "Rising Star" and was awarded the Nolan Fellowship by the ABA Tax Section. Shawn has an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver and a J.D. from the University of Richmond. He is an avid golfer and fly fisherman and enjoys riding his motorcycle throughout the Colorado mountains.

Parker Barrile
Parker Barrile is a Partner at Norwest Venture Partners, where he focuses on consumer apps, marketplaces, and B2B SaaS companies. His investments include Dave, Wyze, Karat, Policygenius, Legion, Anomalo, Pequity, and Revvo. Prior to Norwest, he was Chief Product Officer at Prosper, a marketplace lending company, and VP Product at LinkedIn, where he led a product org responsible for 80% of LinkedIn’s revenue during a period of 20x growth from $100 million to $2 billion. Earlier in his career Parker founded a venture-backed startup and held strategy roles at Google and Bain & Company. Parker has served as an advisor to several startups from early-stage through IPO, including Medallia, Doximity, NerdWallet, and Procore. He holds a BS in Math and an MBA, both from Stanford.

Robert Schlossman
Robert Schlossman has served as Chief Legal Officer for Zscaler, the leader in cloud security, since February 2016. He is a key legal and business advisor to CEOs, management teams, and boards of directors of public, private equity, and venture capital backed companies. He applies his expertise to guide companies through major transformations including IPOs, M&A transactions, spinoffs, international expansion, and introduction of new products and sales channels. Prior to joining Zscaler, he served as the chief legal officer of several technology companies. Schlossman holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, as well as a M.A. and B.A. in English from Stanford University.

Cas Schneller
Cas Schneller joined FFL in 2006. He is responsible for overall management of the firm and leads FFL’s Business Services investment activities. Previously, he worked at GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm. Schneller also worked at William Blair & Company as an analyst in the M&A group and at Luxor Capital Group as an investment analyst. He is on the board of Velocity Global and Accordion and serves as the Chairman of the Board of American Advisors Group, ALKU and ProService. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Crisis Prevention Institute as well as several other FFL portfolio companies. Schneller graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Finance and Business Economics and earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
