POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the accounting close to enable operational excellence and scale, by leading automation, integration, and change management efforts; implementing change and creating programs to increase efficiency and accountability both within accounting and cross-functionally
  • Oversees the general ledger, accounting policies, and technical accounting; assures accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Oversee the financial reporting process, working in coordination with the FP&A Director, and department heads.
  • Preparation of financial statements, MD&A, and monthly reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP 
  • Analyze financial statements and other financial information for consistency and accuracy; ensure the integrity of financial data and accuracy of the financial statements
  • Lead, inspire, empower and grow a team of accounting and finance professionals, working across the broader finance team to enable and deliver Velocity Global’s strategic and financial goals including finance transformation projects

Job Title: Regional Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Regional Accounting Manager to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This position is to be based in Colombia (Bogota or Medellin preferred). This full-time position will be responsible for leading the monthly close process, preparation, and reporting of local Financial Statements and Tax returns as well as the forecasting and budgeting processes, across certain entities in the Americas region. This individual will report to our Regional Finance Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take day-to-day ownership of the local financial and accounting requirements across certain entities in Americas region, including understanding and actively mitigating against any local financial risks
  • Lead the local month-end close processes and maintenance of the general ledgers

  • Timely and accurate preparation of local country monthly financial statements

  • Review and approve General Journal entries, invoices, payments and expenses, as required

  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to ensure an accurate monthly accounting close process, including the review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts

  • Work with local vendors to assist in the preparation and review of Tax filings and local Financial Statements

  • Assist with process improvements and automation projects across the region

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for handing the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end tasks, including account reconciliations, journal entries, preparation of reports in support of the financial statements, and ad-hoc research and analysis.   • Research, evaluate, and apply both US GAAP and technical accounting policies and procedures

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented Accounts Receivable, Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing accounting processes related to cash receipts, month-end reconciliations, aging reporting, collections, and risk management.  The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail as well as the ability to multi-task and juggle priorities in a growing and fast-changing environment. Solid organizational skills and cognitive thinking along with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office. This individual will report to the Finance Operations Senior Director as part of the Corporate Accounting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage our end-to-end accounts receivable process for our global client base
  • Manage and coach a small team including a Collections Manager, associates, and accountants
  • Leads collection efforts and maintains client relationships to ensure timely payment and current status of accounts
  • Manage the accurate recording of cash receipts and application of payments
  • Manage month-end close procedures and execution around accounts receivable including providing insights into DSO metrics and bad debt reserves.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as deposits and customer receivables for collections, refunds and month-end close reporting
  • Manage AR aging reports and provide weekly/monthly/adhoc reporting and key AR metrics to management.
  • Work directly with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure audit readiness and during audit procedures
  • Assist with collection/risk management efforts and escalation procedures internally and with external agencies
  • Troubleshoot invoicing issues, and customer disputes that lead to past due AR balances and recommend process improvements
  • Drive automation of cash receipts and collections processes by analyzing current practices and recommending and implementing changes.
  • Drive special innovation projects to create efficiencies within the team and ensure department scales as the company grows

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or revenue accounting
  • Demonstrated people management experience of a team of at least 3 individuals
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • NetSuite and other account software experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective cross functional interaction with all levels of personnel
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced formulas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal business partners and clients

We are looking for a Legal Counsel (Employment Law) with focus on UK and Ireland to join our growing Legal team in EMEA. This international legal position is fulltime, remote based in EMEA and reports to our Associate General Counsel in EMEA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, draft complex and general employment law aspects and agreements (including confidentiality, IP rights, non-solicitation, bonus arrangements) with a main focus on the following countries: United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Work closely with individual departments to anticipate, identify and manage compliance matters, legal exposure and risk management, and provide legal support and advice to individual departments.
  • Work closely with the relevant departments and provide legal advice in the process of maintaining local entities in the focus countries and within EMEA.  
  • Provide analysis and guidance on projects across diverse areas of international employment matters, based on legislative or regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the activities of outside counsels in the different countries.
  • Focus on other countries and perform other key duties as may be required by the      General Counsel (EMEA) from time to time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Define and execute long-term global technical SEO strategies to grow multi-country and multi-language audiences

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years in B2B/SaaS marketing with a strong understanding of pipeline demand generation and effective website optimization and improved conversion rates

  • Experience working with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata ,and site speed optimization to optimize website performance

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, hospitality, event management, or related field
  • You have at least 5 years of event management experience, at least 2 of which include experience with digital events.

We are looking for an Entity Specialist, Employee Experience to join our Entity Management team. This is a full-time position, with flexible global location within the region. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the management of relationships with local Worker Unions and research mandatory requirements

  • Provide support to the operations and sales team, including joining calls with current clients and prospects, assisting with internal inquiries, and developing processes that minimize the time other departments spend on benefits-related tasks
  • Assist with clients’ and supported employees’ inquiries, including claims assistance, setting up guarantees of payment, and general coverage questions
  • Accurately maintain the company's systems of record, including HRIS, NetSuite, Excel, Google Sheets, and external technology solutions
  • Maintain an internal database focused on pricing, compliance, frequently asked questions, marketing materials, plan documentation, and other information relating to our global benefits offerings

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Project Methodologies such as: Agile, Waterfall, Scrum & Kanban

  • Experience managing complex and technical projects

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors (as required) for the flawless execution of multiple projects

  • Provide recommendations to turn a trouble project around with supporting data to the project team and project sponsor

We are looking for a Payroll Accounting Specialist - Americas to join our growing payroll team. This position is remote-based. This full-time position will be responsible for supporting all our global client service teams by assisting with payroll administration and best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute payroll function for all internal and supported employees in America's region
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all data reporting and payroll transactions
  • Work closely with the local accounting team to perform passthrough, accruals, benefits, and vendors reconciliations
  • Validate payroll information using global HRIS automation tools and provide payroll information to internal teams on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Proactively designs and implements payroll accounting controls to avoid errors
  • Process payroll/invoice information within our global HRIS platform to drive the audit process and generate an accurate client payroll package
  • Support the payroll team to align accounting processes with local finance team
  • Provide timely support to the account management team on all payroll, expense reporting, and billing matters
  • Establish and maintain competency in the area of international employment, payroll, and PEO (Professional Employment Organization)
  • Proactively designs and implements payroll audits to ensure the integrity of the data
  • Perform monthly adjustments based on the reconciliation processes

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Looking for a remote Client Finance Specialist located in Latin America. The Client Finance Specialist position is a global client service role at a rapidly growing company that is creating an entirely new category and industry. RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles for employees in the United States (multi-state) and 50+ countries, including Canada, United Kingdom, India, Netherlands, Singapore, Philippines, and Colombia.
  • Manage US payroll registration in new states and ensuring ADP is configured with appropriate tax codes for all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Manage the end of year processing of all W2s and issuance of W2 Cs where needed. Working with the 3rd party outsourced payroll vendor, ensure all other end of year tax reporting is complete and accurate for all international payroll.
  • Preparation of various accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries for audit and compliance.
  • Identify the accounting treatment of complex transactions related to payroll and provide sound advice on the matter
  • Reconcile and audit payroll data with the accounting system including accruals, advances, benefits costs, bonuses, etc.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and changes to pay rates
  • Manage payroll procedures and have a good understanding of laws, taxes, and best practices. Will be primary point of contact with ADP, consultants, and 3rd party payroll providers to understand compliance requirements and implement processes that manage compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll wage, and hour laws and best practices and ensuring these are communicated cross-functionally
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Remit required pay data reporting for US payroll, for example EEO-1, CA Pay Reporting
  • Facilitate and support audits by providing records and documentation to auditors for both domestic and international payroll
  • Review quarterly and annual payroll tax filings; ensure all local statutory payroll and fringe benefit reporting requirements are met
  • Respond to tax notices, wage orders, and governmental correspondences
  • Critically review and analyze current payroll processes in order to provide recommendations and solutions for opportunities to streamline and further automate existing processes
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
  • Validate payroll information using system automation tools and provide payroll information to internal teams on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Manage US state unemployment claim accounts
  • Review and process employee expense reports for compliance in accordance with local legislation and client reimbursement policies and communicate all changes and expense requests accordingly
  • Lead payroll team in providing excellent service by resolving issues and answering payroll related questions in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the People Business Partners and Total Rewards teams to resolve employee inquiries on all payroll, expense reporting in a timely manner
  • Work cross-functionally with the People and Finance, and other teams to deliver successful solutions
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by working with internal cross-functional teams
  • Train and coach payroll team specialists to increase reliability, accuracy and timeliness within the team

POSITION SUMMARY

Velocity Global is seeking a full-time Sr Looker Developer to join our growing team. The team that this role is a part of is primarily based out of our Denver, Colorado headquarters. However, we are a remote-first company, and applicants from anywhere in the United States are encouraged to apply.  You will help empower our company to make data-driven decisions by providing centralized, real-time access to data from across our organization. You will be responsible for harnessing our data to find relationships and insights between disparate data sets and presenting data-driven recommendations.

This is a fast-paced role, requiring flexibility working with a number of different business units while being exposed to a variety of technologies. This role will require you to have a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and someone who loves learning and will seek to learn new technologies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop Looker dashboards and maintain Looker infrastructure for internal and external client consupmtion
    • Assist in SQL data modeling in the data warehouse and modeling data for end users in Looker
    • Ensure data quality between source systems and the data warehouse, assist in setting data integrity standards and monitoring data integrity
    • Develop a working knowledge of existing data sources and ETLs and provide support when needed
    • Drive action from insight by using data mining skills to present trends and findings to key business users
    • Conduct ad-hoc projects, reports and analyses
    • Learn our business and key metrics
    • Assist in developing and driving business intelligence adoption and growth throughout the business
    • Build processes and standards that inspire trust with data and provide consistent metrics across the organization

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • 2-5years of experience working in business intelligence or data analytics with expert level proficiency in Looker
    • Proficient in SQL and Python
    • Experience with data modeling, database management and analytical skills required
    • Experience with a modern data stack, including tools like Snowflake, Airflow, and Dbt
    • Experience with ETL/ELT platforms
    • Strong writing, presentation and verbal communication skills

    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing Data Engineering team. The team that this role is a part of is primarily based out of the United States. This full-time position will work closely with members of the Business Intelligence team to provide clean datasets to the organization to help drive the business forward as well as work as a data engineering expert on the Product team, designing data intensive applications and services which will help build a world-class software development machine that will accelerate our revenue growth as we continue to build new applications and partnerships. This role will require excellence in data architecture technologies like RDBMS and DAG-based workflow tooling, as well as experience with DevOps and Software Engineering best practices.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as a technical lead on our data engineering team, providing training and mentorship to help develop the skills and talents of others
    • Architect RDBMS models
    • Create logical data flows within the data warehouse
    • Develop ETLs from a wide range of data sources
    • Analyze data for completeness and accuracy
    • Automate data and report QA functionality 
    • Assist in the creation of DevOps processes and utilize various software tools to codify those processes
    • Develop machine learning model test and deployment strategies
    • Assist in the creation of data intensive web applications 
    • Help implement engineering best practices including unit tests and integration tests in a CI/CD environment

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    Required:

    • Preferred but not required - Bachelors or Masters degree in CS or related fields.  We find that the best software developers come from many diverse backgrounds.
    • 10 years of experience in a data engineering, analytics, or related software development environment with at least 5 of those years being in a data engineering role
    • An understanding of software engineering best practices, and a commitment to writing clean, self-documenting, code
    • A high level of proficiency in SQL and Python
    • Proven track record in developing highly scalable batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines
    • Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
    • Strong writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with a modern data stack, including tools like Snowflake, Looker, Airflow, and Dbt
    • Front-End Web development experience including tools like Javascript, React, and D3
    • Back-End Web development experience in a Microservices architecture

    • 7+ years of experience developing commercial software

    • Phenomenal Front-End Foundations: 5+ years of Javascript experience and in-depth knowledge of at least one modern frontend framework such as React or Angular. Experience with cutting-edge frontend tools and technologies such as GraphQL, Websockets, Webpack, React Hooks, Jest, RxJS, Redux, and Flux. Familiarity with React Native and general mobile development best practices. Expertise in CSS and HTML to implement pixel perfect UI’s that match designs. A history of implementing clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an award winning user experience.

    • Solid Back-End Capabilities: Experience with modern API frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and a solid foundation in REST best practices. Experience with GraphQL or Elixir/Phoenix is a big plus. Understanding of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token. A good sense for separation of concerns when integrating back-end and front-end functionality.

    • Seasoned Engineering Chops: Have experience participating in the delivery of large scale systems and making a tremendous impact, optimizing components for maximum re-use and performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

    • Design Thinking Culture: Experience taking part in cross-functional design ideations that turn client tested prototypes into product, translating designs and wireframes into high quality code with a forensic attention to detail.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent)
      • 2+ years experience administering JIRA or similar software applications.

      POSITION SUMMARY

      We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Information Technology team.       • Be the second point of contact for technical queries related to Velocity Global’s SaaS application.

      • Troubleshoot complex issues in an HRIS-related application, including payroll, PTO, and on/off-boarding functions.

      • Work with a variety of internal teams to ensure users’ needs are met. We go the extra mile to figure out what’s happening and ensure it doesn’t come back again.

      • Reproduce complicated bugs, and document thoroughly for the development team to resolve.

      QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

      • 2+ years in a technical support role, preferably supporting a SaaS application.

      • 1+ years with SQL (simple queries and joins, familiar with relational database schemas).

      • Prior experience with APIs and familiarity with reading JSON. Experience with Postman is a plus.

      POSITION SUMMARY

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • 7+ years of experience developing commercial software.

      • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field is nice but aptitude and experience trump. We find that the best software developers come from many diverse backgrounds.

      • Phenomenal Front-End Foundations: 5+ years of Javascript experience and in-depth knowledge of at least one modern frontend framework such as React or Angular. Experience with cutting-edge frontend tools and technologies such as GraphQL, Websockets, Webpack, React Hooks, Jest, RxJS, Redux, and Flux. Familiarity with React Native and general mobile development best practices. Expertise in CSS and HTML to implement pixel perfect UI’s that match designs. A history of implementing clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an award winning user experience.

      • Solid Back-End Capabilities: Experience with modern API frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and a solid foundation in REST best practices. Experience with GraphQL or Elixir/Phoenix is a big plus. Understanding of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token. A good sense for separation of concerns when integrating back-end and front-end functionality.

      • Seasoned Engineering Chops: Have experience participating in the delivery of large scale systems and making a tremendous impact, optimizing components for maximum re-use and performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

      • Design Thinking Culture: Experience taking part in cross-functional design ideations that turn client tested prototypes into product, translating designs and wireframes into high quality code with a forensic attention to detail.

      • Technology Passion: Possess a passion for software development. It’s not just your career, it’s also your hobby. You’re constantly striving to learn new things and improve.       POSITION SUMMARY

      As our Vice President of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global communications strategy.       At its core, this position will be focused on utilizing owned, earned, and paid media to further Velocity Global’s leadership position in the global expansion space while constantly elevating our communications. The successful candidate enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, has a successful track record of building and leading global communications programs, is comfortable operating strategically and also doing the work, and is able to influence decisions both internally and externally.

      This is a high-visibility, high-accountability position that plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s growth trajectory and requires extensive experience managing public and analyst relations, social media, executive communications and advising, thought leadership programs, and crisis communications. The individual will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work closely with the executive team and all sides of the organization.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Define and execute a robust global Corporate Communications vision and strategy aligned with business strategy to elevate our communications both internally and externally, and position us as the leader in the space.

      • Oversee development and execution of all day-to-day external communications activities including: public relations, press releases, speaking opportunities, bylined articles, thought leadership pieces, social media, media relations, and broad customer communications.

      • Develop innovative, timely, and unique story angles/content/themes, and execute programs that will garner maximum media exposure and attention through earned and paid media.

      • Collaborate with the executive team and key spokespeople on development and execution of thought leadership strategies supported by content to bring that plan to life.

      • Oversee social media channel management and develop strategies to expand reach and engagement.

      • Act as the company spokesperson and coordinate cross functionally as needed for crisis communications, media and public speaking engagements.

      • Build a strong network of media and influencer relationships as well as executive audiences to drive positive coverage and original content that highlights Velocity Global’s solutions and competitive advantages.

      • Inspire, build, and lead a strong team by coaching and developing team members and managing external agencies.

      • Continually research and react expeditiously to internal/external communications needs, providing constant and candid feedback to the HR and executive teams about potential issues, threats and opportunities.

      • Oversee internal communications efforts (including company newsletter, executive letters, audio/video presentations, etc.) and develop proactive communications programs between the leadership team and team members.

      • Develop and manages annual budget planning and tracks the success of communications programs through the use of tools and dashboards.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Strong network of relationships with the business and trade press who cover technology/software, global business, and human resources.

      • Experience working within and/or managing agencies is highly desired.

      • Direct experience in Technology, SaaS, and/or B2B Professional Services.

      • Demonstrated ability to build a Corporate Communications function from the ground up.

      • Experience with companies in rapid growth mode and international expansion 

      • Ability to simplify complex messages for different types of audiences and create content that reaches audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop a strong understanding of Velocity Global’s operations and industry to leverage in research and analysis of growth opportunities, competitors and industry prospects
      • Develop project plans for new initiatives, coordinate with internal stakeholders, conduct other research and analysis, and lead cross-functional project execution

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • 6 to 8 years of experience at a top tier strategy/management consulting firm or within a corporate strategy team
      • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA degree preferred
