Ben Wright, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Ben Wright

Founder, Chairman, and CEO

Ben Wright leads strategy and growth of Velocity Global and its hundreds of global team members. He applies two decades of experience supporting companies’ global business and remote teams. Wright founded Velocity Global in 2014 as a revolutionary way for companies to expand and hire across global markets. He is a recognized expert on the future of work and global expansion strategies. Wright was a national finalist for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.

Brad Collins, Chief Strategy Officer

Brad Collins

Chief Strategy Officer

Brad leads global strategy and corporate development at Velocity Global, and is responsible for aligning all areas of the organization with the achievement of strategic objectives. In addition, Brad leads the company’s business intelligence team, which centralizes the company’s data and provides enterprise level tools to enable strategic decision making. Before joining Velocity Global, Brad worked in investment banking and M&A transaction advisory for nearly 10 years. Brad has an MBA and bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and enjoys cycling around Colorado and spending time with his family.

Sarah Fern

Sarah Fern

Chief People Officer

Sarah leads the People strategy and agenda at Velocity Global. Based in the United Kingdom, she applies two decades of experience to drive employee engagement and career development for the company’s global team. Sarah joins Velocity Global from Saba Software (now part of Cornerstone OnDemand) where she led Human Resources through several major acquisitions, business integrations, and transformations into a public company. During her time there, Sarah was a client of Velocity Global. Sarah holds a MA in European Business, Culture and Languages from Oxford Brookes University, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management with the CIPD. Most recently she earned a Certificate in Executive Coaching with Henley Business School. Sarah offers her time to a number of global organizations through mentorship and allyship. She loves spending time with her husband and two sons and enjoys nature and hiking.

Maria Goyer

Maria Goyer

Chief Innovation Officer

Maria drives strategic initiatives and innovative best practices across the organization to serve the growing global customer base. She served as senior vice president of Strategy for iWorkGlobal prior to Velocity Global’s acquisition. Maria’s efforts led to 2020 American Business Awards Silver medals in Growth and International Expansion. Maria applies more than 27 years of industry and strategic expertise in the development of all aspects of Business Process Outsourcing, including pioneering work in the Managed Service Providers (MSP), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), Employer of Record (EOR), Agent of Record (AOR) and Independent Contractor Compliance (ICC) industries and development of Software as a service (SaaS) applications for global contingent workforce programs. Additionally, Maria was named to Staffing Industry Analysts 2020 Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list, for her incredible contributions across the industry.

Dave Martelon - Chief Technology Officer

Chief Technology Officer

Dave leads Velocity Global’s technology team to deliver strategies and initiatives that support the company’s employees, clients, and their global teams. He has elevated the discipline and craft of technology and product teams for more than 20 years. Dave likens his mission-to-metrics approach as creating environments that combine elements of NASA and Pixar—engineering excellence blended with the pinnacle of creativity and collaborative energy. He prides himself on building teams that are held accountable to bold results through a foundation of humility and kindness. Prior to joining Velocity Global, he served as CTO for Active Oversight and Zen Planner, and served in leadership roles for Dice and ESM, ushering in digital transformation in the industries of Fitness, Job Boards, and Higher Education. Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University, where his research focused on computer graphics algorithms.

Greg Thiessen, Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer

Greg is responsible for all aspects of the company's global finance function, including accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning and analysis. In addition, Greg also oversees all human resource activities at the company. Throughout his career working for several international public companies, Greg developed deep experience in international expansion, and was able to apply this experience to Velocity Global and the company's own international expansion. Greg holds an active CPA license, and has a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration and a Master's in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Kansas.

Rob Wellner, Senior Vice President of Sales

Rob Wellner leads Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Customer Success at Velocity Global. Rob is an entrepreneurial professional who brings over 20 years of executive sales and business development experience to Velocity Global. He has a proven track record of helping organizations reach their international strategic goals. Before joining Velocity Global, Rob worked in Capital Markets for 12 years. His experience gives him a unique take on the pitfalls that can sidetrack global deals and transactions. He is a frequent speaker on topics including employment, payroll, expatriates, and global M&A. He is a graduate of Colgate University, sits on the Board of Trustees for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and is an Advisory Board member for Glialogix, a Bay Area biotech company.

Shawn Mcintire - General Counsel

Shawn McIntire

General Counsel

Shawn oversees all aspects of the company's legal affairs. Prior to joining Velocity Global, Shawn worked at a large national law firm representing high growth companies. He loves the entrepreneurial spirit and continues to serve on the board of several of his former clients. He was named as a Colorado Super Lawyer "Rising Star" and was awarded the Nolan Fellowship by the ABA Tax Section. Shawn has an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver and a J.D. from the University of Richmond. He is an avid golfer and fly fisherman and enjoys riding his motorcycle throughout the Colorado mountains.

Jonathon Bunt

Director, FFL Partners

Jonathon Bunt joined FFL in 2017. His experience includes a leadership role at GuideSpark, Inc. an enterprise software-as-a-service technology company, as well as co-founder and CEO of byUs.com, a consumer services software company. Bunt began his career in private equity with Goldman Sachs in New York and Berkshire Partners in Boston. He adds Velocity Global to his current board positions for Accordion, ALKU, Maestro, and ProService. Bunt graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and earned an M.B.A with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Tim Callahan

CEO, GovQA

Tim Callahan is the CEO of GovQA, the leading provider of automated compliance workflow software for government. Callahan took the executive role at GovQA in 2020. Previously, he served as President of Streamline & Celergo for global payroll software and services provider ADP. Prior to that, he was CEO of Celergo LLC, a global payroll management company, before Celergo’s acquisition by ADP in 2018. Prior to Celergo, Callahan enjoyed a 28-year career in the global mobility industry as president and COO of Graebel Relocation Services and senior vice president of global sales and marketing for SIRVA, Inc. He holds a B.A. in History from Fairfield University.

Robert Schlossman

Chief Legal Officer, Zscaler

Robert Schlossman has served as Chief Legal Officer for Zscaler, the leader in cloud security, since February 2016. He is a key legal and business advisor to CEOs, management teams, and boards of directors of public, private equity, and venture capital backed companies. He applies his expertise to guide companies through major transformations including IPOs, M&A transactions, spinoffs, international expansion, and introduction of new products and sales channels. Prior to joining Zscaler, he served as the chief legal officer of several technology companies. Schlossman holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, as well as a M.A. and B.A. in English from Stanford University.

Cas Schneller

Managing Partner, FFL Partners

Cas Schneller joined FFL in 2006. He is responsible for overall management of the firm and leads FFL’s Business Services investment activities. Previously, he worked at GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm. Schneller also worked at William Blair & Company as an analyst in the M&A group and at Luxor Capital Group as an investment analyst. He is on the board of Velocity Global and Accordion and serves as the Chairman of the Board of American Advisors Group, ALKU and ProService. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Crisis Prevention Institute as well as several other FFL portfolio companies. Schneller graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Finance and Business Economics and earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
